We recommend the following for dogs:
Food - Please label your pet's food and provide a little extra just in case of unforeseen circumstances. We prefer that you do not send your food in plastic grocery bags or very narrow containers.
Medication - Again, medication should be clearly labeled and there should be enough medication in case your pet needs to stay a little longer than planned.
Toys - You are welcome to bring a couple of toys for your dog or cat, but please don't include anything precious, since the toys do occasionally end up outside and in the paws of another dog.
Blanket or t-shirt - We strongly recommend that you include something from home that has your smell on it to make your pet more comfortable during his stay.
Bed - Although we provide raised cots and have a variety of linens, you are welcome to bring any bedding you like, including a crate, if it would make your pet more comfortable.
Leashes & collars - Please ensure your dog has a comfortable collar and include any walking collar or harness you normally use. We use 16 foot Flexileads for our walks and would prefer that you NOT leave your leashes with us.
Dishes - For very particular dogs and cats who will only eat out of plastic dishes, please include your pet's dishes and advise us that we should use those bowls. Otherwise, there is no need to pack dishes in your pet's luggage.
We recommend the following for cats:
Food - As with the dog food, please clearly label your cat's food and ensure that there is enough for her stay.
Litter - We have both deep, covered litter pans and smaller shallow trays, as well as clumping litter. If your cat needs special litter, such as recycled newspaper or regular non-clumping litter, please include it in her luggage.
Blankets and beds - As with the dogs, you are welcome to bring your own blankets, but if you wish to bring a small bed, please ensure it is not too large or it will not fit in the suites. We have quilts and beds in our bay window for our cat friends who like to watch the birds and see customers come and go or just lay in "catly comfort".
