At Tails & Trails Country Pet Resort our philosophy

is to keep our guests out of their

enclosures as much as possible while offering

much-needed rest periods. Our guests are organized in

groups and are rotated between outdoor play,

indoor play and "down time" throughout the day.

Our pet activity coordinator keeps everyone busy

and all our staff work to ensure each of our guests are

given the attention and TLC they require.

Just like home, indoor play takes place where we are - in the reception/living room, with it's couch, picture window and toybox; in the playroom, with another couch, cots, and pet-friendly videos, and in the office and kitchen where the dogs can hang out with us, much like they do at home.

Outdoor play takes place several times a day in our 50' x 50' yards as well as our fully-enclosed graveled area. Although we have outdoor kennels, we rarely use them as we prefer our guests to go outside with their friends, just like they would at home.

And finally, what every dog loves...walks on our beautiful country trails. There is always plenty to see on our trails and we offer our guests long walks and lots of sniffing time. We try to match our walks to the health, age, and size of your pet. If your dog is particularly energetic we can pick up the pace and let them blow off steam. For our older boarders, we walk at a gentler pace to allow stiff joints to loosen up.

You do not need to choose a package at Tails & Trails. We firmly believe every dog who stays with us deserves the best we can give them.

Guests are assigned individual kennels when they arrive. The kennels can accommodate one or more dogs, depending on the size. Presidential suites tend to suit larger dogs or 2 dogs from the same family. Soft Spaw suites include smaller kennels for individual guests and one extra large kennel that can provide a comfortable room for very large dogs or a family of dogs. Ruffin' Ritz kennels come in a variety of sizes and can accommodate guests of all numbers and sizes.

Our suites are composed of porcelain tile to ensure maximum cleanliness. We have a variety of bedding, from cots to thick fleece-lined blankets and lighter, cooler linens. Some of our guests prefer their own bedding, which is certainly always welcome.
